Proverbs 1:2-4
That men may know wisdom and instruction, understand words of insight, receive instruction in wise dealing, righteousness, justice, and equity; that prudence may be given to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth-- DH VIII-IX: El hombre, superior a los dioses ... 6.- Tienes en tí mismo el poder de liberarte, pues todo te ha sido concedido. Nadie te envidia: todo ha nacido para ti, para que comprendas al hacedor por medio de uno solo, el todo. Tienes el poder de querer y no comprender, tienes el poder de no tener fe y de equivocarte y de comprender lo contrario de lo que es. El hombre puede tanto como los mismos dioses. Sólo él es un viviente libre, sólo él tiene el poder del bien y del mal ...  Guardando silencio, comprendes; hablando, hablas. El pensamiento concibe la palabra en el silencio y sólo la palabra del silencio y del pensamiento es salvación (DH V 2). ¡Lo que Yo digo aquí es sólo la verdad! ¡Es sólo la verdad y nada más! Lo que está abajo es similar a lo que está arriba. Y lo que está arriba es similar a lo que está abajo. ¡Y hay que conocer esto para lograr la cognición del maravilloso Único!
