Gill-Scott-Heron the poet, musician and founding father of Hip-Hop, has received a two to four year prison sentence in New York State Supreme Court in Queens for violating a plea deal on a drug charge, the Queens district attorney's office said Mr. Scott-Heron, 56, best known for his piece "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised," violated the arrangement by leaving a drug treatment center. |
