Priest and Academician Explore the Spiritual Lives of Children

Windows into the Spirituality of Children by Suzi Robertson is a collection of wonderful stories about children realizing and growing into their faith. Episcopal Priest Suzi Robertson has spent thirty years helping children who are exploring and discovering their faith. She’s captured their sad, funny, and moving stories in Windows into the Spirituality of Children: Real Stories of Real Faith From Real Children, with a foreword by the Reverend Doctor Jerome Berryman.

What do we really know about our children’s understanding of God? Robertson suggests that while children may lack the language to properly express their faith, they do have their own unique spiritual belief systems. Children, in truth, says Robertson, can know God and can understand religious matters as deeply as adults can.

Author Suzi Robertson examines her own spiritual autobiography as well as the tales of the numerous children she has worked with. By listening, loving, and learning alongside these many children, she shows us that God touches us all, and we can all learn from one another, no matter how young or old we are.

An Episcopal Priest, Robertson has always been an advocate for children. In this riveting book, she shows us how to reach out, connect with, and better work with young people. As we explore the ways children grow into their faiths, we recognize how we ourselves grow and change with our own beliefs. As this warm and wise book tells us, when it comes to matters of faith, a little child can indeed lead us.

This book is endorsed by the Reverend Dr. John Westerhoff, author of, Will our Children Have Faith, and by both Episcopal and United Methodist Bishops.
