Slice Of Americana Films, LLC. isn't relying on a traditional movie trailer to promote their new indie film "Consignment." They have taken the unique approach of streaming the first 11 minutes of the movie online without advertisements or pop-ups interrupting viewing.
With the growth of mobile media devices like the video iPod or PSP, independent movies that can be delivered digitally will reach a greater audience. With that in mind Slice of Americana Films introduced a special internet offer.
Purchase the 'Consignment' DVD from the official website located at www.consignment-movie.com, get a free digital download of the movie for your PC, MAC, and mobile media devices. Plus an exclusive download of a deleted scene that had to be cut from the movie to make it suitable for retail and rental outlets. Not many indie movies are offering that.
"Consignment" is the story of an East Coast drug dealer who goes on the run in So Cal with his wife after a rip-off murder attempt set-up by a street Kingpin called Detroit Mike.
The ambitious website was developed and created with movie viewers in mind. "I think audiences are becoming a tougher sell. They're fed up being burned by the hype and gimmicks used to sell movies. As a movie lover I know I was. I can't tell you how many times I picked up a movie because the box cover only to find out the people shown weren't in the movie at all or got sucked in by a trailer that was misleading to what the movie was really about. By giving viewers the first 11 minutes we're letting them know exactly what they're getting," said Producer Tim Beachum.

Director Sid Kali tells a tight story in Consignment. No phony scenes with weak dialogue in this movie. It hits you with violence, the headaches of moving work, and shows some fine ladies (nudity for sure). Thats what the game is.

Consignment Movie Review written by Tyree Housen on January 05, 2007
I was able to get a copy of the DVD before it's release. The movie is a winner. No wasted time waiting for something to happen. Much action. My favorite character was Tommy, a smooth drug dealer people can relate to. He has anxiety and panic attacks to deal with while trying to make money in drugs. Loved the feel of the overall movie. The ending got me.

I found out about Consignment listening to Tim Beachum on a local collage radio station. At first I thought he was some fake wanna be gangster that was just trying to promote his movie.
After meeting the guy in person I'm not ashamed to say that Tim has a fan for life! He actually is what I would like to call a hood spokesman.
I love the Slice film and think that the dynamic duo has a big future in the movie making business as long as they remember - The Streets Is Watching!
Consignment aint no joke for sure written by Danny Boy on January 10, 2007
I had to do time behind dealing go fast and if you dont know what its like take a look at consignment. no fake story here.
this movie shows how it really goes down when your caught up selling speed at the street level. not sitting at the top of the world.
no scarface tony montana type holllywood flossing going on here. this is doing dirt to survive.
i felt what tommy was going thru wanting to get out from under detroit mike. there is always some fool bigger in the food chain than you that will pull your string to give you marching orders.
a lot of people get dealt with in consignment. i gotta say watching this biker get blasted behind the head was my favorite part. i also have to give it up for the chicana that played paris. SHE IS BODIED UP!!!! hats off to sid kali for having the balls to show some nudity.
another hot part was a chicano dealer moses coming out of a warehouse blazing with two guns on some fools. that was gangster.
this is a good movie all the way around. look out for the girl who played irene. i think she is going to be big down the road like penlope cruz.

Bravo For Consignment written by Mike from Arcadia on March 06, 2007
I am usually extremely critical of movies based on drug dealing. That wasn't the case with Consignment. I completely enjoyed the movie. The story was more emotional than I was lead to believe by the box cover. While there is violence, profanity, and nudity sprinkled through the entire movie it fits the overall theme perfectly. I was impressed with the writing of Sid Kali. What I liked the most was the cast made up of new faces. There we some amazing performances delivered by a cast of up and comers. Standouts for me was James Hurd who filled the role of Detroit Mike. He was larger than life. Jerome Hawkins was engaging as Carmelo. Reminded me very much or Larenz Tate as O-Dog in Menace 2 Society. This one of the better direct to video urban movies I've watched. Not to give a spoiler, but the ending is highly emotional and powerful. This was a good showing for a new filmmaker and young cast. Keep it up Sid Kali.

A grimy movie that really gets you thinking about where some people come from.
Easy to relate to if you're from any hood with a lot of violence, dope, and different races.
Consignment is a movie that shows the real truths and consequences of being in the "dope game". Nothing pretty about it.
Other gangster flics always seem to be faking it from the way the people look to the way they talk, always the fairytale ending or social message forced in.
Consignment doesn't do that. The story comes at you direct with no lies.
Low budget flics like this get no respect. To bad because you usually have to see one of these to get the real story from the hood.

I watched Consignment last night. Extremely entertaining urban movie. What did it for me was Arnita Champion. She had a supporting part as a drug dealers girlfriend. In one part she delivers a Kung Fu kick to a buff gangsters stomach. AWESOME ACTION!!!!
In another part she stands over the same buff gangster about to be sawed into pieces looking oh so hot.
You have to watch Consignment to see Arnita Champion. I noticed she is in Sid Kali's next movie In With Thieves. I'm going to get that one for sure.
Really hope it has more Arnita Champion.
