Delivery [by Dolan Morgan]

I’m reading a book in my room, on my bed, with the lamp on when the doorbell rings. It’s somewhat of a hassle to get up -- all I have on is my skirt because I only half undressed after getting home from the doctor’s. I throw on an old t-shirt and head into the living room toward the door. I really need to clean, I think. It’s a small place -- simple, with just a couch, a coffee and end table, a television. Peering out the hole, it appears to be some sort of delivery agency out there, one I’ve never heard of, a man in a green uniform, strangely well fitted. I don‘t often get packages, so this is something at least to make the day stand out from the others.

Do you know what it feels like for a girl?!
[A Journal Entry from Christine M. Biereth]

I'm 28 years old, I'm Single and I live in New York City. I've been living in New York for almost seven years now - and I love it. I thrive on the dysfunction of the city 'cause it in many ways reflects my own. It"s given me a sense of belonging I've never felt before. New York is not just a city to me, it's a way of life. I can't quite explain it, but after years of traveling, searching and yet never really fitting in, I have stopped in the revolving door and feel at home for the first time.

Who Loves You?
Society + Culture
Written by Arielle Sumner Consoli CPC
"I am the one I have been looking for." -Iyanla Vanzant

We spend so much of our time waiting to be loved, hoping love will find us, searching, yearning for that special love. Feeling empty and lost without it. Wanting someone to give us love and fill us up. Unfortunately, that's not usually how life works.

You will draw to you exactly what you create in your life. You will draw to you what you believe you are worthy of. Nothing more, nothing less. In other words, when you believe that you are worthy of love, you will love yourself and then you will draw love to you from other sources.

Ultimatum to A Friend
Poetry + Prose
Written by Tom Sheehan
I.
Listen.
The mercury
Is resolved.

Beneath
My hand the Earth
Passes a quick shadow,
Recollects
The distinction
Of a breath.
