"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is
neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female", declared
the Apostle Paul, some 2000 years ago; but to this day, few have
taken notice of him. The bitter truth is that people love their
racism. What is racism? Basically, racism means any distinction
based on race or ethnic origin that results in the persecution or
the restriction of human rights of groups that are discriminated
against. The racist ideology or, rather, pathology, is abhorrent
and condemnable under any circumstances and excuses. Unfortunately,
there are still more subtle forms of racism, as e.g. against women
- in certain cultures and religions more than in other ones -
racism against old people, disabled people, the poor, the ugly, and
even racism against people living in a particular locality of the
same country. Yet, xenophobia, which is usually a reaction to mass
and uncontrolled immigration, is not exactly racism, at least it is
not the worse expression of racism. This is my opinion, anyway. |

Everyone markets their brand, including
Presidential candidates. Whereas in the past, candidates have
relied heavily upon volunteers to create a grassroots movement
through door-to-door and telephone marketing, the 2008 election has
added internet technology and Marketing 2.0 to its repertoire. |

Azteca America, the fastest-growing
Hispanic television network in the United States, is proud to have
hosted Senator Bob Menendez on this Monday's broadcast of "Issues:
Caras y Voces", a political forum hosted by veteran Latino
journalist Armando Guzman. Senator Menendez (D-NJ) is the first
member of a minority to represent New Jersey in the U.S. Senate,
and the sixth Hispanic to serve in the Senate. He is a staunch
supporter of small businesses and immigrant rights. |

On Monday November 5th, republican
presidential candidate Ron Paul made the news headlines after his
campaign generated $4.2 million dollars in little more than a day.
The extraordinary thing about the record setting campaign drive, is
that it was not organized by the official staff working for Ron
Paul 2008. Rather, the idea for the fundraiser came from
"unofficial" grass-roots supporters acting on their own. This turns
the tactic of grass-roots operations on its head. |

As John Roberts, the Chief Justice
administered the oath of office, green slime began to ooze fron the
eyes of President Rudy Giuliani. The crowd gasped in horror as
horns sprung from the President's head and children ran screaming
for their lives. "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask
what you can do for your country", chuckled the Devil in Chief. |

The 21st century has now met the 14th century in real time and although the result sounds like a page out of "Ripley's Believe it or Not" this is real life in real time this week in America and the rest of the world. If the incredulity were not thick enough then comes one of the so called "moderate" Muslims to speak to Fox Newsmen Bill O'Reilly on the Factor November 30, 2007. He insists that moderate Muslims around the globe condemn this kind of extremism but when asked which Muslim country or moderate Muslim organization has been heard from specifically, he has no answer. |

A new World Vision Index of Concern
released yesterday reveals that even following the death of an
estimated 28 million people from the AIDS pandemic over the past 26
years, one in three adults among the world's top industrial
democracies say they still know little or nothing about the
disease. However, half of Americans surveyed said they would be
willing to pay more taxes to combat AIDS. |
